According to the latest entry notification from MOE, R.O.C, that overseas students are allowed to enter Taiwan and study after Feb 8th, 2021.

Due to COVID-19, we will offer the registration with your passport no. to MOE,  and MOE will report the list to Ministry of Foreign Affairs then to Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in your country. Therefore, please reply your Register Intention before Jan 5th, 2021. Since this process would take a period of time, so please wait for our latest reply.

Please pay the tuition before entering Taiwan, and upload the receipt to the Flight Information Form as well, then you'll have the hotel subsidy as the day you check in the quarantine hotel, or you would have to pay the fee first and get the subsidy afterwards when you finish the tuition payment.

Please complete the tuition payment before coming to Taiwan and upload the picture with receipt to "Flight Information Form", so Feng Chia University will offer NTD 14,000 as subsidy for your quarantine hotel. If not, please afford the whole hotel fee by yourself first, and apply for the subsidy from our university after you complete the tuition payment.

Entry Process

• Before Entering Taiwan

1. Visit Taipei Mission or Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in your country to apply for the visa or entry permit. For the documents preparation, please visit Apply R.O.C. Resident Visa. *Please don't book any flight ticket!!

2.To prevent the situation about flight cancellation, please book Eva Air (BR) or China Airlines (CI), which are the most representative airlines in Taiwan.

​3.Please check the date of flight to Taiwan (Airport code: TPE)10 workdays earlier (holidays or weekends are not included) before you come to Taiwan, fill in the information of your flight ticket (including flight no., date, departure and arrival time) in the Flight Information Form,but don't book the ticket until you get the reply from Feng Chia University, because we need to make sure the room in the quarantine hotel for you to stay 16 days (15nights).

​4.Prepare the fee(NTD) for the quarantine hotel(NTD or credit card), phone plan (cash only), taxi and small amount of pocket money. Please also prepare epidemic prevention supplies, ex：masks( for one month), etc..

​5.We will send the Overseas Student Entry Permit and Certificate. Print the Overseas Student Entry Permit & Certificate out and take these documents with your passport to the airport for boarding.

​6. Since December 1st, 2020 till February 28th, 2021, no matter your identity ( either Taiwanese nor foreigners) or any purpose (such as for study or for business) ,those who enter Taiwan or transfer at Taoyuan Airport ought to prepare PCR result 3 days before boarding. 

7. According Republic of China's policy, we will pick you up at the airport. If your flight shows delay in arrival, please inform the faculties of OIA previously. Or your flight is postponed or canceled, contact us then we will resend a new entry permit and certificate to you.

• After you arrive in Taiwan 

1. 1. After landing, please buy a prepaid SIM card (within 1 month) with data service.

2. *Once you've got a SIM card or your phone has connected with airport wifi, report to us in the hotel line group.

3. 2. Fill in the Quarantine System for Entry, and the text of healthy certificate will be sent to your Taiwanese phone number.

4. *Stay calm if you got COVID-19 unfortunately, contact us and we will send you to the assigned hotel by the government.

5.  Stay in contact with OIA's teachers.

6. Offer your Overseas Student Entry Permit &Certificate, passport, and visa to the customs.

7. Claim your luggage and exchange the money into Taiwan dollar.

8. After claiming your luggage, please contact faculties from OIA, and we will take you to the reception for overseas student, the staff of the reception will lead you to take the quarantine taxi and head to the quarantine hotel. (If you don't finish the register at the quarantine reception or don't want to stay in the arranged hotel by the school, you will be fined for NTD 100,000 to NTD 1,000,000 dollars)

9. You need to take the quarantine taxi from the airport to the hotel and afford the fee by yourself. The distance from the Airport to Taichung would cost you NTD 1,080 dollars.

•  When staying in the quarantine hotel lasting for 14 nights +2 days' result waiting, please follow these:

1. Join​ the hotel line group.

2. You are not allowed to leave the room within 14 nights.

3. Take your temperature and fill it in through MyFcu twice a day, and Ministry of Health and Welfare will call you occasionally.

4. Once you leave the hotel during the period of quarantine, you would be fined for NTD 200,000 to NTD 1,000,000 dollars. 

5. At the day after the end of the quarantine, we will send you to a hospital for PCR testing, which would take 1~2 days for the result. 

6. After the quarantine comes to an end, FCU would arrange a car to pick you up and head for Taichung. For those who have applied for the dorm, please spend the 7-day self-health management in the dorm; for those who rent a house outside the campus, please stay at your please to complete the 7-day self-health management.

• After 16-day quarantine has end, there's a 7-day self-health management (entering the campus is not allowed)
